Norada relaunch

10 July 2012

Sunday 8 July saw Norada officially return to sailing at Salthouse Broad.

She had been out of sailing order for 6 years, and out of the water for much of that to carry out extensive hull repairs.

Despite the weather it was a fantastic occasion - over 150 people turned out to see Norada sailing and she was accompanied by the two trading wherries Maud and Albion.

This also means her interior was taken out to allow access to the hull frames, and so she was restored to prime condition as she was refitted.  All that remains is to improve the galley equipment.  Until then, she is available for day charters for up to 12 people, and will be used on some of  the Wherry Yacht Charter Charitable Trust's public sailings as well.
