A unique symbol of Britain's extraordinary maritime history, SS Robin is London's best  kept secret, an irreplaceable symbol of our island nation and its relationship with the sea. This undiscovered maritime jewel is one of only three "Grade1" / Core Collection ships inLondon, alongside Cutty Sark and HMS Belfast.

In the latest chapter of this remarkable story, the Trust is about to embark on a transformation of the vessel into an innovative multimedia cultural, learning and heritage centre as part of a major capital restoration programme, and has opportunities for new Trustees with enthusiasm, energy and dynamism to join the Board

Outline of the role, responsibilities and person specification:

SS Robin Trust currently has opportunities for new Trustees to join the Management Board. Meetings are usually held at 6pm on the first Tuesday of each month in central London.

Trustees are expected to attend meetings on a regular basis, and in addition to be able to contribute a minimum of 5-6 hours / month in support of the project and the management team.

Preference will be given to applicants with  experience  and skills in any of the following fields: maritime, museums, charities/governance, fundraising, education, architecture, construction and engineering
