Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant

In celebration of Her Majesty The Queen's Jubilee, there will be a Pageant held on the Thames on Sunday 3 June 2012, bringing together a flotilla of some thousand craft, many of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Vessels (NRHV).  National Historic Ships UK was invited to sit on the Historic Sub-Working Group to advise the Pageant team and Port of London Authority on the difficult selection process and logistics of the procession.

The Pageant offers a wonderful opportunity to showcase our maritime heritage to the world and these dedicated web pages have been set up to inform members of the public about the unique nature of the historic vessels involved, as well as to support vessel owners taking part.  National Historic Ships UK will be glad to help promote the occasion and in particular, the programme of any historic vessel en route to or from the Pageant.  We are also keen to help vessels connect with other participating craft from their region to boost their fundraising and promotional capability.

If you have any marketing ideas we can help with or queries about the day, please contact us at: mailto:info@nationalhistoricships.org.uk  Alternatively, visit the official Pageant website for more general details about the event as a whole: www.thamesdiamondjubileepageant.org.
