History

Built in 1959 by Priors of Burnham on Crouch, AELFWYN was designed by Alan Buchanan the previous year. She was raced in Burnham by the designer Alan Buchanan as the first Saxon Class in the early 1960s.  In the 1970s she was under Belgian ownership for many years and then became Australian registered until 2003.

Much restoration has been carried out in recent years and the vessel is now in good to excellent condition. She has been cruised around the East Coast and raced in Mersea week and the Maldon regatta.
