History

COLESHILL is a Town Class Narrow Boat of riveted steel construction and has a Lister HR3 diesel engine installed in the mid 1980s. The vessel was built in 1937 by Harland & Wolff, Woolwich.

Built for commercial carrying, the first owner was the Grand Union Canal Carrying Company, later taken over by British Waterways. Subsequently hired to Willow Wren Carrying and then sold to Foxton Boat Services who used her for commercial carrying and canal camping holidays.

COLESHILL was laid up in the mid 1990s and purchased by her current owner in 2008 and is being restored as near as possible to her original state.
