History

SALAMANDER was built in 1906 by J Abdela & Mitchell and its initial purpose was as the Gloucester Docks steam powered fire float.. The steam engine and water pump are no longer present  and the cabin has been extended, but in keeping with the original construction. Decommissioned in 1955, the vessel spent some time in Ireland and  then Holland.

Bought by her current owners in January 2015 and used as a houseboat, cruising the waterways in and around London.
