What does it take for a historic vessel to make it on to the National Register of Historic Vessels and its associated registers? Stuart will tell the stories of some of the sailing vessels on the register, including Gypsy Moth IV and Maidie. In the second half he will describe the Traditional Seafarer route of the Shipshape Heritage Training Partnership, in which trainees at partner sites around the UK learn the on-board specialist skills required for operating and maintaining historic sailing vessels, including a short film illustrating how these skills are passed on.
Location: Gerrard's Cross Sailing Association, Buckinghamshire
