British museums are planning to reopen to the public once more as government restrictions are relaxed.  Some larger museum ships may also be able to open, but for smaller museums and museum ships, especially those reliant on volunteers, it may take a little longer.

Museums will be delighted to welcome visitors again, but please bear in mind that things may be different from your last visit pre-COVID.  Some museums may be open different or restricted hours.  All will have strict public health protocols in place to make it safe for the public, staff and volunteers alike, including compulsory mask-wearing in indoor spaces.  You may need to pre-book a timed slot instead of just turning up.  Please check each museum's website (just click on the links below) to pre-book and for full information.
