This is the latest update on our support for the heritage sector, following recent government announcements relating to COVID-19.
We remain committed to supporting the people and organisations working across the heritage sector and are open for business.
The COVID-19 virus is a worrying time for all of us and having a significant impact on the people and organisations we work with. We want to reassure everyone we fund that we will be as flexible and supportive as we can be during this very challenging time.
If you are concerned about the impact of the coronavirus on your heritage project or organisation, please get in touch with your Investment Manager/Senior Investment Manager or speak to the team in your local Area or Country office. This will help us get a fuller understanding of the extent of the challenges and what support may be needed.
We’ll be reviewing our funding approaches as we build up a clear picture of the potential impact on those we support. We will be working with other national heritage stakeholders, funders and the Government to see what support we might be able offer together.
We are all committed to supporting the heritage sector through this difficult period, so please keep a look out for further advice and support which we will share through our website and social media channels.
Please don’t hesitate to contact your Investment Manager/Senior Investment Manager in the first instance, or if you have a general enquiry, contact our Customer Service team.
Survey: tell us how the Coronavirus (COVID-19) is affecting you - an urgent call for evidence from the heritage sector
In the immediate term, we are running a survey to help gather information about the immediate and longer-term impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on those we work with and support across the heritage sector. We’re hoping you can find time to respond as your contribution will be invaluable in shaping our response.
We remain open for business for both grant recipients and those of you looking to apply.
We are fully operational and open for business and will continue to support you whether you’re a grant recipient or currently liaising with our team about developing your project or grant application. Following recent Government guidance, our staff are continuing to support you, but we are conducting much of our day to day business remotely. We are doing everything we can to ensure to we maintain business as usual.
Our Area and Country teams are also contactable should you need any advice or further guidance.
We are supportive of what you feel are necessary judgments and/or appropriate decisions to maintain the health and wellbeing of your employees and the people you engage through your work. We advise you to follow the NHS and Government advice as follows:
NHS and Government advice
We are following the Chief Medical Officer’s advice. The NHS has published information about the symptoms, essential hygiene and what action people should be taking to reduce the virus spreading.
The Government has published specific COVID-19 guidance for employers and businesses. This is a changing environment, so it is important to keep abreast of these important updates.
