MV Balmoral launch dry dock crowdfunder
National Historic Fleet passenger vessel MV Balmoral is the last of her type and is known to be the most travelled excursion ship in the UK. Over the years, she has carried more than 2.5 million passengers.
Currently, MV Balmoral is tied up in Bristol undergoing some maintenance by a great team of dedicated volunteers - NHS-UK's Marsh Volunteer of the Year: Shipshape Project winners for 2022.
The charity is planning a winter dry docking for the vessel, where they plan to do hull plating, hull painting, sea valves service and survey work. There will be a huge amount of work still to do before the ship can go back to sea, and they are hoping to raise some extra funds to allow them to do more work while Balmoral is in dry dock.
