Founded in 1994, the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize project is led by its founding Director Professor Anita Taylor, Dean of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design at the University of Dundee, and is supported by the Trinity Buoy Wharf Trust who became the principal benefactor in 2018.
The exhibition and awards are open to applications by emerging, mid-career and established drawing practitioners based anywhere in the UK and internationally. Up to three drawings may be entered by each applicant for consideration by the Selection Panel.
The annual Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2022 exhibition will include in the region of 65 drawings selected from all entries by an independent panel of distinguished selectors.
The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2022 exhibition will be launched at Trinity Buoy Wharf in London on 28 September 2022 and will be on show until 16 October 2022 before touring to venues across the UK. A fully illustrated publication will be produced to accompany the exhibition.
Artists and drawing practitioners with drawings shortlisted for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2022 will be invited to the Exhibition Launch and Awards Announcement at Trinity Buoy Wharf in London on the evening of 28 September 2022.
The exhibition and tour will include a separate display of the drawings shortlisted for the Working Drawing Award which has a separate online submission process and criteria with its own expert selection panel.
