Waverley's winter refit got underway in early October with work currently focused on the main engine and engine room pumps.  Their engineers are once again supported by several loyal volunteers.

Find out more about the winter work needed in their video about Waverley's 2020.

Every year the team need to find an average of £400,000 for winter work to keep Waverley in top condition before she takes to sea again.  Due to the COVID-19 lockdown they do not have those funds available this winter.  Waverley needs your support.

Waverley's COVID-19 Relief Appeal is open and they have already received a fantastic response from members of the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society - over £80,000 so far!

They must raise £350,000 from individuals in order for the world's last seagoing going paddle steamer to survive until summer 2021.  They are working hard to secure funds from a variety of other sources but anything you can donate will make a massive difference.

The COVID-19 Relief Appeal seeks to secure sufficient funding to ensure Waverley survives another winter period and returns next summer.  You can help ensure Waverley remains as the “Sole Survivor“ by making a donation today.

Donations can be made online, by calling 0141 243 2224 or text “STEAM” followed by £10 or £20 to 70085.

If you donate online or by calling their office they can, if you wish, include a name on our Virtual Donor Wall showing those who have donated to their COVID-19 Relief Appeal.  Check out their Virtual Donor Wall to see your name if you have already donated.  Donations can be recorded in memory of someone.

They value every donation made to help keep Waverley operating.

Please add Gift-Aid to further increase your donation by 25%. For every £1 you donate, we can claim an additional 25p from the taxman.
