On 1 September, the Welsh Government announced the Cultural Recovery Fund — an £18.5 million fund to support the Welsh cultural sector’s recovery from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant fund will be open for applications from organisations from 16 September to 2 October 2020.
Heritage sites and attractions in Wales and heritage organisations operating or employing staff in Wales will be able to bid for support from the fund if they have been adversely affected by the pandemic. The fund’s aim is to help eligible organisations recover from the economic impact of COVID-19 and become financially viable in the future so that they can continue to support the management of the heritage of Wales.
