History

Operating predominately from the Village of Worsley in Manchester. Licensed to carry 44 passengers, Castlefield operates to cater mainly for Heritage and Historical/Educational Groups. Owned by Bridgewater Heritage Boat Company. Castlefield is composite construction converted from a 'Butty' in the 1970's and fitted with a Lister HA 2 cylinder Air Cooled Diesel Engine. Thought to have been built for Fellows Morton & Clayton at their Saltley Yard in 1906 with it's original name of Prussia or Siberia.
