The Freebody family have been trading on the Thames for over 300 years, and from our present site at Hurley as boatbuilders and restorers since the 1930s. We design and build every type of launch from the smallest dinghy through to electric canoes, slipper launches, saloon launches and steam launches. In addition to our new building works, we are famous for our restorations of classic launches, most notably the Thames passenger steamers 'Windsor Belle' and 'Alaska', the 1960s iconic Italian Riva runabouts, and the conservation work carried out to 'Miss England' for display at the Science Museum, London.

Here at Hurley, we also offer full services in the way of engineering, maintenance, moorings and winter storage. For those interested in classic boats, a visit to our workshops is always worthwhile - we are open seven days a week.
