Sanders Sails has been in business for over 33 years and have regularly been making sails for historic and classic yachts throughout that time. We are one of probably only three lofts who have the in-house experience to offer hand seamed sails, if necessary, and we are pleased to replicate sails of a bygone era. A good example of this was the 'Mathew' where we built a suit of sails in the style of 500 years ago. We work in Cotton Duradon, Clipper Canvas and Polyester to provide authentic looking sails with a high quality of hand finishing. We regularly work with the best designers like Colin Mudie, Laurent Giles and have recently made sails for a new 58ft schooner from the board of talented designer Ed Burnett who we have already worked with on several other projects. We worked with the Sail Training Association making sails for the 'Sir Winston Churchill' and the 'Malcolm Miller', the latter of which we re-canvassed in 2006, when she was converted into a luxury charter yacht and re-named the 'Helena C'. We still work with the Sail Training Association today under their new name, Tall Ships Youth Trust.
