Did you know that the old wooden fishing boats of North Norfolk are unique to this coast and no two are the same?  We set up the charity Rescue Wooden Boats to tell the stories of the boats and local families that built and earned their living from them, and help restore important examples of the surviving boats.

Join Rescue Wooden Boats on Saturday 13th April from 2pm-4pm at this celebratory Open Day for local people.  Come and explore our local Maritime Heritage Centre, see our updated exhibits, learn about the history we are conserving and our upcoming Maritime Mingle events programme.

Complimentary hot drinks will be on offer throughout the event, including home made mulled wine and teas and coffee.

As an added bonus we will be offering escorted small group visits to David Hewitt's wooden boatbuilding workshop.

Address: Rescue Wooden Boats, Green Way, Stiffkey, Wells-next-the-Sea, NR23 1QF
