National Historic Ships UK are delighted to announce the relaunch of the Shipshape Network pages of our website.

Funded by a £13,670 grant from the Philip Nicholas Trust, the team have spent the last few months working to improve the design, layout and searchability of the Shipshape pages. 80+ Project pages, 8 Zone, and 8 Hub pages have been completely rewritten and updated with new images and the latest news.

We've added social media and website links for each project for readers to find out more. We've also streamlined the search function for the Skills & Services Directory (following on from our complete updating of the Directory in 2022), and created new webforms for you to Add or Update a Project.

Each Shipshape Network Zone (the South West zone is pictured) now includes the following sections:

• Meet Your Local Hub/s
• Projects in your Zone
• Local Facilities & Services
• Vessels in your Zone
• News in your Zone

The redesigned Shipshape Network pages have been illustrated with a selection of beautiful black and white lino cut prints by the artist James Dodds. These artworks have been reproduced by arrangement with James Dodds and Jardine Press Ltd. If you're interested in James' work, you can find out more and buy cards, books and prints on his website: https://jardinepress.co.uk/

A big thank you to the Philip Nicholas Trust for their continuing support of the National Historic Ships project, our web company Fat Beehive for their help over the last few months, and the office team - Paula, Luis, and Kathryn - for all their hard work. The next step is to reach out to some of the potential new projects on our list and expand the Shipshape Network even further!
