History

MISTY ISLE is a passenger excursion vessel of timber carvel construction built by Percy Mitchell of Mevagissey in 1965 and is powered by a Ford Dover diesel engine.

At present she is based at Elgol in the Isle of Skye.  She was originally commissioned for John England of Padstow as a pleasure boat giving passengers trips around the Camel estuary and local coastline.  She was famously launched 'Over the harbour wall' as Percy Mitchell had no slipway in Port Mellon near Mevagissey, Cornwall.

MISTY ISLE also ran trips to Brownsea Island and is known for her association to the BoyScout movement.
