History

Built in 1924, LADY CABLE is a passenger vessel with a capacity for 42 passengers. She is based at Torquay and cruises to Brixham and on the River Dart. By 1936 she had been sold to C. & N. Mott of Torquay and was the only boat to go from there to Dunkirk during the World War II evacuation. She was bought by her new owners in 1987. In August 2008, LADY CABLE was donated to the Turning Point Maritime Trust and following a full restoration at Bobby Cann's yard in Totnes, she was to be used for educational heritage trips.
