THORNYCROFT BEE is a wooden shipyard launch or tug, built by John I. Thornycroft & Co. Ltd, at Woolston works in Southampton. Her yard number was 1204. The keel was laid down on 12 August 1939 and she was launched for trials in January 1940. The boat was built as the yard launch for the Thornycroft works at Woolston and is currently being restored by her present owners in Sandwich.
