History

Built in 1927 by W J Yarwood of Northwich as a horse drawn narrow boat, JUBILEE was converted to a motor boat in 1935 when a Petters 12 hp semi diesel was fitted. She was sold to Fellows Morton & Clayton in 1938 and to E Thomas Ltd in 1943. She was converted to a houseboat in 1951 and sold to M E Braine (Boatbuilders) in 1973 and converted to a 46 passenger boat. After a period out of service from 1989 she had a major rebuild in the late 1990s and was rebuilt in her original traditional style. She was bought by her present owner in 2001 and is now back in full commercial use. She is the only one of her kind and was used to transport The Queen Mother in 1974 and HM The Queen in 1975 at Stratford
