History
OWAISSA was built by Staniland & Co in 1934 at Thorne on the Stainforth and Keadby canal. Her history is currently unknown except that she was fitted originally with a Hyland petrol engine that has since been replaced with twin Thornycroft diesels. She was built with a ketch rig, but her main mast was taken off at some stage and lost.
OWAISSA has had 17 owners and has been based on the Thames, Severn, Hull and the Norfolk Broads. Since being bought by her present owner in 2008 she has been based on the River Weaver.
Update, June 2024: Vessel under new ownership.
