History

ISA is a ring net fishing vessel of carvel construction - larch on oak with an inboard diesel engine. She was built in 1946 by Bathursts in Tewkesbury and fished by Camerons of Applecross from her launch until 1992. She was later based at Avoch under different owners and lay unused until she was bought by her present owner in 2006 who sailed her back to Applecross in 2007. After a deck fire she was beached and is now undergoing restoration. ISA was designed as a 45 class naval fleet tender and was converted on the stocks to a fishing vessel. In 2011, ISA was reported to still be undergoing restoration.
