History

DOROTHY is a yacht of teak carvel construction built in 1894 by the Thames Yachtbuilding Company to a design by Linton Hope. Her history can be followed in Lloyds Register of Yachts until 1919 when she moved to Dartmouth where she remains. She was rescued from a beach in the 1980s by a local boatbuilder who replaced the rotted deck and coachroof in the style of the original. DOROTHY was designed to race and continues to win races and concours d'elegance on the South Coast and Brittany.

DOROTHY has been under new ownership since 2017. Her current location is unknown.
