History

TIZA was built as MPL 4534 for the Admiralty by Lamdmore & Co, of Wroxham, Norfolk. Completed in 1945, she is a vessel of timber carvel construction and has a Leyland Polar Marine BL6 diesel engine.

First allocated to the Boom Defence Officer at Sheerness she remained there until 1951 before transfer to Upnor. In 1959 she was sold out of service to Mr H G Prickett. Later, the vessel was sold to Mr Sketch who converted her to a liveaboard. She was bought by her present owners in 2005.
