History
ASTER was built in 1932 as a wooden motor barge, and her builders were Fellows Morton & Clayton. From 1951 to 1964 it was owned by the Salvation Army, and operated by Brigadier Fielding and his wife. The vessel was rebottomed in 1998, now has a full length cabin and is in private use.
Update, October 2020: the boat is still in existence and still on the Kennet & Avon Canal.
