History

Built in 1938 by W Denny of Dumbarton, THE SECOND SNARK is a passenger vessel with the capacity for 120 passengers. Her current engine is a Gardner 66kw which was installed in 1972. Her port of registry is Greenock and her area of operation is the Firth of Clyde where she runs a year round service between Gourock and Kilcreggan and also public and charter trips in the area. She is one of the last Denny built vessels afloat.

Update, 2019: After being saved from demolition, ownership has been taken over by the Second Snark Preservation Trust, who returned her to the Clyde and aim to restore THE SECOND SNARK to operational condition.
