Sanders Sails has been in business for over 33 years and have regularly been making sails for historic and classic yachts throughout that time. We are one of probably only three lofts who have the in-house experience to offer hand seamed sails, if necessary, and we are pleased to replicate sails of a bygone era. A good example of this was the 'Mathew' where we built a suit of sails in the style of 500 years ago.

Lucas Sails has been in continuous family ownership since 1884.
We still have the skills to make traditional sails, hand finished in Clipper Canvas or Duradon as well as technical cruising sails in Dacron and Polyester.
We also manufacture awnings in Acrylic or F/R Dacron with support structures - CAD designed with full engineering load analysis for shading for traditional craft and Superyachts.

Decades of experience have produced a fine reputation for restoration and repair work. Lawrence Boarer (proprietor) is a qualified shipwright who has undertaken repair work and spar construction for the sail training ships, 'Astrid', 'Lord Nelson' and 'Royalist'.
