WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

This comprehensive 5-hour, hands-on course, led by epoxy and polyester repair specialist David Johnson, gives practical boat owners the skills and confidence to tackle a wide range of common GRP maintenance tasks. Participants will learn how to assess what can be achieved through DIY repairs, understand when and how to use epoxy for polyester structures, and apply professional techniques to real-world scenarios.

Through guided practical sessions, you’ll make flat FRP panels, work with peel ply, repair deck-edge and transom-corner damage, reinstate skin-fitting apertures and screw holes, and address surface star-crazing.

By the end of the course, you will be equipped with the knowledge, materials awareness, and hands-on techniques needed to approach boat repairs with confidence and competence.
