Discounted moorings for traditional vessels at Exeter Heritage Harbour.
In conjunction with the Exeter Port Authority, arrangements have been made to offer mooring and hard-standing fee discounts to certain qualifying historic vessels.
Interested owners will need to discuss their individual vessel, but in general the criteria include:
1. Wooden, iron or steel built (i.e. not GRP unless there is a very special reason for them to be considered – see ‘3’ below.)
2. Appear on the appropriate heritage list maintained by National Historic Ships UK (NHS) or the NMM at Falmouth.
3. Of particular historic and/or local interest and constructed prior to 1970.
4. Can provide a robust business plan and/or financial resource demonstrating the ongoing viability of the vessel.
NB - Only vessels less than 125ft long can be accommodated.
Vessels owned by a charitable trust or a CIC may qualify for additional reductions. But contact should be made in the first place with the Exeter Heritage Harbour Development Officer, Hannah Hurford at hannah@exetercustomhouse.co.uk
