History
ROS BHAN was built as a training ship by David Hillyard, Southampton, in 1934. Her previous names were JAMES HALL, then DEOBRAH ANNE, then VANIQUE. Originally built as a house vessel for Wellesley Nautical College, Bluth, Northumberland, she was then sold into private hands in 1954. A legend has developed that you never own this vessel but are only the 'keeper' as long as you are capable, then you must find a new keeper.
