Orkney Historic Boat Society

We are a registered Scottish Charity SC 044884 founded in 2013. Our vision is to Preserve and Promote Orkney's nautical Heritage. Our projects can be viewed on the above website and on OHBS FaceBook pages. We are about to advertise for a Craft Fellowship in Boatbuilding in partnership with Historic Environment Scotland. Our craft fellow will be funded for 2 years and will attend the 47 week Diploma at International Boatbuilding Training College Lowestoft followed by a year with Ian Richardson - Orkney's last professional boatbuilder. We seek financial assistance as we will be funding the Funding bodies Heritage organisations

OSD-IMT Ltd

Longitude Engineering is dedicated to providing marine design and analysis services to the marine, offshore renewables and oil & gas, defence and small craft market sectors. Our aim is to provide field operators, installation contractors, vessel owners and others involved in the industry with all the maritime engineering assistance they require to ensure their projects are successful. Naval Architects, primarily designing ships for the offshore industry, however we also design ferries, super-yachts, tugs and work-boats. Saturn Sails

Saturn sails was established in 1979 by Colin and Shelia McKenzie and John Highcock. Both Colin and John have over 40 years of sail making experience, and have been sailing a variety of boats since childhood. John is a regular face at keelboat regattas and offshore events both around the UK and further afield with many national, and international titles to his name. Greg Pitt joined the company in 2008 bringing his experience and skills to our sail making team.
