Ipswich Maritime Trust is seeking an experienced admin assistant to support the implementation of the Ipswich Heritage Harbour Project.
Part time – self-employed. 15 hours per week. Working mainly from home. Fixed term 2 June 2025 – 24 April 2026. £18.00 per hour.
We are seeking an experienced administrator demonstrating excellent written English, computer and social media literacy, and a high level of personal organisation, to support our Project Manager during this exciting year for Ipswich Maritime Trust as we set up our Heritage Harbour Project.
Job Description:
Reports to Project Manager
Duties:
- Assist with logistics etc arrangements for events and meetings
- Bursary scheme:
- assist with application phase, including pre-screening of applications, collation and managing responses to queries
- assist PM with ongoing management of awardee relationships
- Support Treasurer in recording + processing financial transactions
- Support membership secretary in managing member database
- Assist with media relations, website updates, social media activities in support of Project Manager and Trustee-lead on communications
- Manage relationships with website maintenance contractor and selected other suppliers
Qualifications
- Well-organised and detail conscious-essential
- Experience of communications support-desirable
- Experience of similar admin activities -desirable
