Pioneer Sailing Trust (PST) is a UK charity (No 1077522) established in 1999 to facilitate learning opportunities for young people through maritime experiences. Now fully established, PST is widely recognised for its leadership and leverage in the marine sector, demonstrating sustainable operating models.
Role Overview:
To create 44 professionally made training videos and associated shorts available to view on platforms such as YouTube over the course of 5 years, adhering to the PSTs branding toolkit.
The short films will document the restorations of Jinnie and Jassa, along with the apprentice journey and the wider maritime heritage world. The short films will bring out key learning points to inform and educate the audience about restoration projects.
The films need to promote heritage and how people can be involved with heritage through opportunities at the trust and other organisations. All filming equipment to be supplied by creator.
How to apply:
In the first instance, applicants are required to send a tender return outlining methodologies, timescales, resources and a detailed budget, including CV, together with details of previous experience.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview which will incorporate a practical activity.
Methodology:
Please specify the methodology that you would use to meet the aims and objectives of the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Include what you would use for:
- Content Development: Ability to create engaging content across various formats such as: articles, videos, and podcasts.
- Storytelling: Skills in crafting compelling narratives to engage and educate audiences.
- Digital Marketing: Story-telling.
- Video Editing: Proficiency in video editing software to produce high-quality video content and software that will be used.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to work with various technologies and platforms as trends change.
- Project Management: Skills to plan, execute, and manage projects that involve both archiving and content production.
- Research Skills: Ability to conduct research to inform both archival practices and content development.
