An exciting opportunity to become a Tour Guide & Experience Host at The Golden Hinde, delivering Summer Shipyard Tours during a unique period of active refit and restoration. This hands-on role brings maritime heritage to life for visitors, offering guided experiences around a working historic shipyard in central London.

You will help tell the story of The Golden Hinde - Sir Francis Drake’s famous 16th Century galleon reconstruction - while also interpreting the ongoing conservation work taking place on board. Tours offer visitors a rare behind-the-scenes insight into traditional shipbuilding, restoration techniques, and the continuing life of an historic vessel.

This role is ideal for someone confident in public speaking and passionate about storytelling, heritage, or maritime history. You will engage a wide range of audiences, helping to shape a memorable and accessible visitor experience.

Tours currently run on weekends during the summer season (approximately monthly, with plans to increase frequency over the summer season supported by a dedicated marketing campaign), with opportunities to contribute to the growth and development of this public-facing programme.

This is a flexible, part-time opportunity, with payment provided per tour delivered and/or organised plus agreed travel expenses.
