Volunteer at the Boat Building Academy and get hands-on, practical experience!
By becoming a volunteer, you become an integral member of the BBA family and share in the vibrant friendly atmosphere that makes the BBA such a special place.
Possible areas you could help are:
· Tools & Machinery Maintenance: the students use a wide variety of tools. These need careful maintenance to ensure they are in good safe condition. Help is appreciated in this area. It could be sharpening hand tools, maintenance of the larger tools in the machine shop, testing and safety checks.
· General upkeep of the site’s infrastructure; decorating, sorting out storage etc.
Volunteering could be a regular weekly activity or a set block of time.
