Volunteer Call out

The Skylark IX Recovery Trust are looking for anyone with spare time on their hands weekly, who would be interested in supporting The Skylark IX Project's blended, therapeutic heritage activities going on in the Scottish Maritime Museum, Denny Ship Model Experiment Tank in partnership with Alternatives West Dunbartonshire CDS too.

You would learn all there is to know about the Denny Tank Museum, eventually tour guiding if you liked with visitors and supporting community events and the general running of the museum here.

Do you like the idea of working with children? You could help our lovely Laura out at "Little Guppies" every Thursday morning to prepare snacks, read stories and sing songs with the little ones.

You would learn the amazing story of the Skylark IX, and how she continues to help support lives of local people to date with an opportunity to get creative yourself in our workshop space in the Denny, and at other community heritage craft groups that we run.

You could also be involved in developmental opportunities if you like chatting to folk, where we hope to collaborate on Oral history collection locally.  Full training would be given for this.

You could even help out at the "Sweet Success Cafe", soon to be opened in The Denny Tank Museum for coffee and homemade cakes.

Lots of potential and opportunities for anyone who is interested!

Please do share around with folk and get in touch with us! We'd love to hear from you.
