Join us at The National Waterways Museum in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, for an Easter Historic Boat Gathering.

The National Waterways Museum’s Easter Historic Boat Gathering takes place over the Easter weekend when a fleet of colourful narrowboats and barges take centre stage across the site while the museum comes alive with music and activities for the whole family.

Horse boating is set to make a return to the National Waterways Museum this Easter!

Eight-year-old ‘Flower’ will tow Shropshire Union Flyboat Saturn into Ellesmere Port on Good Friday to open the annual Easter Gathering of Historic Boats at the National Waterways Museum.

Both Saturn and Flower will be on display over the Easter weekend and there will be demonstrations on Saturday and Easter Sunday up and down the narrow locks. We welcome you to come and meet Flower and Saturn and allow us to take you back in time when Ellesmere Port would have been full of boats and horses just like these two stars!

All activities are free with your Annual Pass unless otherwise stated.
