Built in 1951 by Werf Voorwaarts-theun Van Den Beldt, SIR HENDRIK has spent the majoirty of her working life in the Netherlands as SAS Van Gent. In  1988 she was delivered to Carolcraft Ltd in Chatham, and later in 1994 bought by her current owner.
