History

Built in 1913 by Salter Bros, Oxford, ROYALTY is a passenger vessel with a capacity for 200 passengers. She is built of steel and aluminium. Originally a steam vessel, she is now powered by an 8 cylinder Gardner engine. She was a hospital ship in World War II, having been commissioned by the Navy to tend sick and injured soldiers. Until recently (2025) she operated a service from Westminster to Greenwich and also ran charter trips.
