History

GLORIA was built in 1943. It is presumed she was built as a motor launch, as a sister ship to SAPPHIRE, to operate in the Isles of Scilly, but little is known of her early years until the 1960s. From then until the 1990s, she was operated by F Pender as a passenger boat in the Isles of Scilly. After that, she moved to Calstock, Cornwall, and then to Tenby, Wales.

In 2023, she was purchased by her recent owners and moved to Falmouth, where she operated River Trips, Harbour Cruises, Private Charters and Angling Trips. Her hull design has never been modified and she is powered by a 80hp Ford Dorset engine.

The vessel was for sale from May 2024 and may have been sold since then.
