The Sea Scamp Sailing Syndicate are organising events to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the historic yacht Sea Scamp. You are welcome, whatever your experience, to join us and sail a classic yacht with a rich history.
Sea Scamp is a classic Bermudan sloop, built in 1936 for the German Luftwaffe. She was brought to the UK in 1945 as part of war reparations, raced by the Royal Marines, then operated as a training ship by the Royal Navy and the Sea Scouts.
In 1984 she was bought by two enthusiasts who set up the Sea Scamp Syndicate to sail and maintain her. They now have around 110 members of all ages and abilities.
Come aboard for our Open Day at Ocean Village Marina, Southampton on Saturday 11th April 5-7pm (no need to book in advance).
Or apply here for a sail on Saturday 11th or Sunday 12th April: half day £55, full day £82.
As well as Sea Scamp, you'll also have the opportunity to sail aboard another 'Windfall Yacht', Overlord.
