History

Built for the Navy, AFRICAN QUEEN spent her first 2 years repatriating soldiers from France and is said to have attended the Copenhagen Convention. She was then seconded to the RCT and is known to have worked out of Tenby in 1961. She was used in her later service life as a training ship and was sold out of Portsmouth in 1984.
