History
Built by R J Priors in Burnham on Crouch to a design by Alan Buchanan for E Palfrey, as a cutter rigged Bermudan 'auxiliary' ketch, to Lloyds A100 standard, all in teak. Modified in c.1970 by Moody's. New sail plan, still a cutter rigged Bermudan ketch, re-designed by original designer adding a 6 foot bowsprit, new 'modern' interior.
Wrecked in Ilfracombe in 1980, rescued by Tim Newman, rebuilt in Exeter 1980 to 1986. Sailed with family down Atlantic coast. In 2002, while preparing for a trans-Atlantic journey to the Caribbean, she was holed when she fell over, drying tied against a stone key. Repaired by Chis Rees. Bought by Sarah & Granby Patrick in March 2022.
New deckhouse designed by the new owners and built and installed by Chris Rees. New sails by Sanders Sails (Lyminston), new standing rigging by Hemisphere rigging (Plymouth), new electronics by Raymarine. New chart table and switch panels installed. Fully re-plumbed and re-wired by the owner. She is now on an extended cruise in the Mediterranean.
