Haines Boatyard

In 1983, the Haines family, who had run their boatyard business at Ferryside, Itchenor, since the early 1900's, placed the business on the market. The business was purchased by a group of members of Itchenor SC with the aim of preserving the boatyard activity and thus supporting boating in the harbour. Many of the club keelboat fleet moorings are managed by Haines Boatyard. Almost 40 years later, the majority of the shareholders of Haines Boatyard are ISC members who race keelboats with the club owning 7%. Haines Boatyard is a not for profit organisation and does not pay dividends.

We’re family-run and our business has stood the test of time. Since 1980, our family name has been synonymous with excellence. Our family holidays were always taken by the sea in North Norfolk and so this is the place we will remain. Building boats that last a lifetime. We’re proud to be award-winning, but the greatest reward are the relationships we build with you – our customers
