John Keatley Metals

John Keatley Metals Ltd. was founded in 1896, by John Keatley who ran the company with his son Ernie, except during WW1, when his daughters Lily & Winifred helped to provide a wide variety of non-ferrous and other special metals to companies throughout Birmingham & the Black Country. With Ernie returned from the war, John Keatley continued taking an active part, right up until his death in 1949, aged 86. Ernie & Lily then ran the company until 1962, when both in their seventies decided to retire and John Keatley’s grandson Richard R Mason (the present Managing Director) took over.

John's Boat Works

Based at Lots Ait Island on the Thames in Brentford, London, John’s Boat Works is a traditional wooden boat builder providing leisure and commercial wooden boat building, repair and restoration work, as well as a comprehensive maintenance service. Our boatyard has tidal dry dock facilities, a slipway, an outdoor hard standing area and a fully equipped large indoor workshop. We have a wood machine shop on site and also a small chandlery able to supply fixtures and fittings at favourable prices. Workshop units/pods are available for short or longer term rent. Jones Boatyard

Established in 1946 as a inland boatbuilder and riverboat chandlery on the River Great Ouse in St.Ives Cambs. Many of the boats built by LH Jones can still be seen on the Great Ouse and Norfolk Broads today. The boatyard now specialises in repair work and inland boat supplies for refits and boat building.
