Underfall Boat Yard

The Underfall Boat Yard is in the floating harbour in Bristol City Docks in a restored range of buildings dating from 1858. We have highly experienced shipwrights and carpenters, riggers, blacksmiths/metal fabricators and a high tech fibre composite specialist. Recent projects include 2 new pilot cutters and 3 new Cornish pilot gigs and numerous rebuilds and repairs. Our slipway can lift out boats up to 110ft long and 180 tonnes. We also offer spaces for people to work on their own boats in or our of the water, under cover or outside. Outside contractors are welcome to work in the yard. The

Weir Quay offers 75 sheltered swinging moorings in the South West on the River Tamar, just 6 miles from Plymouth Sound. The Boatyard also offers various marine services such as Marine Engineering and Yard Services as well as storage ashore. For many customers it is a second home, an unspoilt corner of rural Devon, with a colourful local community and plenty to see and do. Our moorings range from tidal to deepwater and one night visitor moorings or annual moorings!
